Institute for Innovative NanoBio Drug Discovery and Development (I-INBDDD)
was established on April 2009 in the Graduate School of Pharmaceutical Sciences
at Kyoto University, to promote innovative research for drug discovery and development based on the combination of biotechnology
and nanotechnology. This institution also aims at the integration of pharmaceutical sciences and engineering based
on the general collaboration agreement between Kyoto University and Ritsumeikan University
In the development of new drugs and medical devices, talented
scientists who understand and coordinate variety of businesses including patent
application and technology transfer are strongly required.
In this context, we are going to establish
transfer system of the tradition of “Chi(wisdom) and Takumi(skill)” in drug
discovery and development from senior scientists to young scientists and
students which should, we believe, be the unique function of I-INBDDD in a
future.
